Amongst its
representatives, Mullmedia has qualified and registered teachers
with IT and media skills. Courses and training will be
available by request, however, local training courses on Mull will
normally take place during the winter months.
One of Mullmedia's
specialities is to involve community groups in the production and
management of their own media promotion. An example of this
was the assistance given to the Isle of Iona Community Council to
produce their own website
www.isle-of-iona.com. The Iona group produced the basic
materials and chose their own theme, a member of Mullmedia created
the structure of the site and another member helped produce the
graphics in a form that was web compatible. The Iona group now
edit their own pages and keep the material current. A Mullmedia
member maintains a supportive role, helping sort out any technical
problems and promotes the site in a dominant position on the
